Endless descriptions of Kashmir have been written over the decades and lately many tourists have been bold enough to visit this most beautiful valley. Bold, since it’s been a troubled region for the last half century and reason to few Wars between two bitter Neighbors. Kashmir deservedly is returning to normalcy and its beauty will be testament to the glory of our wonderful World.

With its beautiful Valleys, Lakes, Houseboats, Art, Cuisine & People, Kashmir will blow you away with its Beauty and Charm. Jammu is not far behind in hosting many visitors to its most visited locales.

Srinagar: Srinagar is the summer capital of the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Made famous by the Dal Lake & Kashmiri Arts and crafts, Srinagar occupies an important position in the Indian tourist map. The medieval look of its streets, bazaar & eateries remind you of a historic city that was the roost of travellers and traders alike. The city’s biggest USP are its people who would go that extra length to help the avid guest be at ease.

Gulmarg: Gulmarg was first established as a ski resort by the British who had set up the Ski Club of India here in 1927. Skiing at Gulmarg had become very popular during the pre-independence years.

The resort used to host two major skiing events, one each during Christmas and Easter. Now since, 2998 Gulmarg has hosted major National skii event and Winter Games federation of India has declared Gulmarg as the winter Games capital of India. With small cottages dotted around Gulmarg, friendly atmosphere, Asia’s longest serving Gondola Cable Car, it is a much cherished summer destination too.

Pahalgam: Pahalgam Valley” The Valley of Shepherds” Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder river, Pahalgam (2,130 m) was once a humble shepherd’s village with breathtaking views. Now it is Kashmir’s premier resort, cool even during the height of summer when the maximum temperature does not exceed 25 deg C. A number of hotels and lodges cater to all preferences and budgets, from luxurious hotels to unpretentious trekkers’ lodges, including J&K TDC huts.

Around Pahalgam are many places of interest, and because the resort is set between fairly steep hills, it is worth hiring a pony rather than walking. Pony fares are posted at prominent locations
